Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to the questions we receive the most about our Commercial Kentucky Insurance Claims.

Don’t see your question below? please do not hesitate to contact us. We’ll be happy to help!

Absolutely from start to finish. During our initial consultation we would take lots of pictures and annotate the damage that we see. An inspection report will be sent to your insurance when requested. Once they finalize their scope of work for the project we would need to revise it to make sure that they noted everything we did in our initial report. Although we are NOT insurance adjusters and can not make promises on what will be covered by insurance we would do our best to document everything we see during the roof inspection to make the process easier for both property owners and insurance agents.

The property owner will file the claim. KISH Restoration can NOT and will not attempt to file a claim on behalf of property owners since it is 100% their decision to make.

Property owners are responsible for paying their deductible to contractor (s) for the work compensated through insurance companies per state law (Ky. Rev. Stat. & 367.628).

  1. File a claim 2. Adjuster meeting 3. Receive insurance letter stating the acceptance or denial of claim 4. KISH Restoration will review scope 5. Material order will be placed upon approval 8. Production date will be scheduled 9. Production of project 10. Final Walkthrough upon project completion

Absolutely as long as you or the insurance company reaches out to tell us a day and time. If you would like us to be there during the insurance inspection we can meet the insurance adjuster to highlight critical areas and areas of concern.

There is always a chance for re-inspection or out of pocket repairs for replacement. KISH Restoration will do everything we can to help you throughout the process whether it is through insurance, financing or an out of pocket cost.

An insurance adjuster is someone who writes up the scope of work on behalf of your insurance company. Depending on the damages that they see and believe are necessary to repair they will report back to your insurance company and make a decision on the amount of compensation that should be paid for the claim. KISH Pros are not in any way insurance adjusters and we will not be able to tell you how much insurance will or can pay for repairs.

Supplements are requests that we are able to submit for insurance review. If a supplement is submitted by KISH Restoration there is no guarantee that it will be covered by insurance. However, we can document if additional items were needed or required for the project.

This is the amount of funds that insurance companies will usually hold until completion of the project.

*We are not insurance adjusters and can not represent or act on your behalf. However, we have experience working with many insurance companies and can provide our clients with our professional advice.
